OT: Prayer Request

Anyone willing to pray...please pray as hard as you can. My husband comes from Louisianna...from everything on the news...his home town Slydel is no more....he still has 4 uncles that were living there. No idea if they made it or not. His sister Becky lives in Mississippi....the last we heard from her 2-3 days ago..they were getting hit hard ( while on the phone with my FIL ) We hope that she and her husband got out ok, but have no idea. My FIL has been talking with the Red Cross and from what we have been told their house has no roof....We don't know where Becky and her husband are...we are praying they are ok, but are very worried. This is devistating

My prayers and thoughts continue to be with the people devastated by the hurricane. My husband is participating in a telethon tomorrow at a local TV station to help collect money for Hurricane Katrina's victims. If you're unsure how to help maybe contact your local TV stations and see if they are doing anything like this.

that let you put in info about your loved one that you are searching for. The request for info will be sent to the Salvation Army there and they will look for your family member for you. I filled it out ....hopefully they can find her and we will get some info on everything. I am still holding out hope that they made it ok...and just can't contact us. I have to keep that outlook to keep my husband and FIL from falling apart. It isn't easy....the more time that passes....the harder it is for me to stay possitive. I hope we hear something soon.

Thank you so much for your prayers! My FIL was finally able to get ahold of Becky. She is OK! whew....we are so relieved. It is so amazing the difference I feel today, from yesterday. Her house actually made it through the storm as well....it is not ideal to live in....I don't know the extent of the repairs needed, but at least it is still standing. I am just so glad she is ok, finally my husband can sleep.
