OT: Prayers needed

My three year old nephew has spina bifida and now has a prolapsed spinal cord. He is having surgery on Monday to have it corrected. The doctors in Washington State should have caught it a while back as it is fairly common and not something easily overlooked. Luckily the doctors in Texas are on the ball and they have scheduled his surgery on Monday. He will spend two days in ICU on his stomach and then be moved to another ward, he is expected to go home on Friday. There is a little over 10% chance he will lose all lower body function. His doctor in Texas says it is the worst case she has ever seen. Prayers are desperately needed for this sweet little guy.

Oh goodness Jaqui! We once had a little boy at church who was born with spina bifida, and I remember how hard he struggled to learn to walk. Your nephew will definately be in my prayers, along with the doctors and his parents.
