OT: Some GOOD news for once!

Yahoo! A house is going to be your greatest joy and your greatest aggravation. hahaha I'm a homebody and I love my home. If I want to stick a nail in the wall, who's going to tell me I can't?! If I want to paint a room purple, who's going to tell me I can't?! Enjoy, you're going to have such a good time.

Congrats! I'm very happy for you! How exciting - your very first home. And a whole place of your own to scrap - can't beat that!

I took some pics when I saw the house last Friday. I'll take more pics when we start to move in. I have a 6 x 6 album just waiting to become a "Our First Home" album!

Thanks Sandy. I'm so excited! DH is getting excited, too. At first, he was the pessimist, saying it wasn't ours, it could fail inspection, etc. I know he's still kind of anxious about the inspection, but he's less pessimistic now. LOL

LOL We wrote our LAST rent check last night. DH wanted to photocopy it for posterity. LOL I am SO looking forward to painting whatever I want. DD's favorite colors are pink & purple, and if she wants her walls painted hot pink & bright purple, I'm painting them hot pink & bright purple! LOL

I know...I"m so excited. And DH gets to even be able to display some of his Transformers. That has never happened, so he's really looking forward to that.

My daughter's room is a bright turquoise with purple closet doors. I have to admit I kept asking if she was sure she wanted those colors. She loves it. It doesn't make me cringe quite so much anymore. My dad wouldn't let there be any colored walls, only white in our house, so I have color all over in my house. I'm getting ready to paint a couple walls pink in my house. Never thought I'd do that, but I really like the pink and brown combination. I'm so happy for you! You're going to have so much fun.
