My LR Trip

Well I am home safe and sound. Thanks to MANY guardian angels and thoughts from the extended AND RCS family that I have and treasure!!!

The ole car, well it really was no big deal. I had made my mind up last year that I was not going to put not one more nickel into it. I was going to restore the car but determined it had too much rust, thanks to Missoura's liberate use of SALT!!! So because of that, I really held my typical male temper in line and enjoyed my special visit anyhow!!! Yea, it hurts that it did destroy my budget WORSE than all the SHOPPING that I was coerced in to from the great LSS, the Stampin' Up stuff from Deb and then NOT to mention the OTHER LSS that MC just happens to have in her house!!

ENABLERS ALL!!! We all in this group know we are GUILTY and aspire to do it on purpose I think, or would even BET on it - LOL! But woe is us who gets together in groups - YOWEE!!!! Or is that ZOWIE!!!

Anyhow Jacqui and her youngest ds who she said is shy and hyper - boy the ole saying of you are your own worse critic is true. Logan warmed up to us all after just a few minutes, of course the BIG Tonka toys that MC bought I am sure helped!!

jacqui and I have shared several RAKS back and forth as well as phone talks. I am so thankful and elated to get to meet her in person nad know one day will get to meet her dh which I know being Ex- Army we will have a lot in common too!

The one thing that really blew me away and impressed me the most of the whole trip, well as WE ALL KNOW pictures do not tell the whole story of what ANYTHING looks like from color to depth and perception. Anyhow when MC opened her craft, err STORE room door up I think I aboout fell over. OMG it is huge. I think that when people take pictures f something ike their SPACE, actual dimensions should be required - LOL! Anyhow it is actually twice as big as what it appears to be in her pix. WOW!!! I thn Jacqui was shocked too and awed!!!

MC, thank you so much for a wonderful visit anda place to put my head. Deb, thank you too for YOUR DH cooking such a super supper that i truly felt like I was eating and staying in a five star hotel!! That alfedo sauce was to die for!!!

As far as a meet somewhere hat really would be wonderful. What may have to be considered is one in a couple parts of the country. Someone who has a large place to put people up for a day or two would helpwith expenses as well the consideration of cheap local lodging. The central part of the country here is great for cheap rates and places to shop, but having a persoanl place really does help take the edge off.

Thanks again is not even enough to say to all in this group for your thoughts and prayers whenever ANY ONE of us are out and traveling!! From me, Thank All and big HUGS!!!

Glad you made it home safe Dave. I'm also glad you didn't let the car problems bother you or ruin your trip. You know we are the best enablers, and like to share the bug. Just told DH we have to buy a big house so we can have it here. He laughed.

Even though your car went crazy sounds like you had a good time. At least you made it home ok. Next time, just drive the semi. LOL
