Awwwwwwwwwwwww, thanks Dave!

I am home from the hospital. (Came home today, actually...)...and am doing pretty well. My doctor is very happy with the way surgery went and my recovery so far. I just need to "stay the course and keep running" now.

For those of you who are reading this and saying *HUH?*... I had the Rou-N-Y Gastric Bypass surgery on Monday morning. I've considered doing this for like like last 7 years and finally was in a time and place where life and insurance and everything made it possible for me to do this. Between my parents and my babysitter, they had the kids covered....hubby has the job that has the insurance...and a few friends and family members have had thier pom-poms out cheering me on.

The plans are that in the next 6-9 months (I hope) that I will lose about

200 pounds (maybe a bit more) and be able to run after and with my kids and just have a better life.

For the next week or two, I'll be in the pc and on-line limitedly as it kinda makes me dizzy to stare at my 'puter screen...but I'll be checking in.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!

Luv y'all! :-) Theresa in IL

I'm so glad to hear you're home and on the mend. A good friend of mine had it done about 3 years ago. I remember her being almost 100 pounds down by the State Fair. It was 3 months time. I remember it so well, because it was something she I love to do together and the last couple years she needed to borrow my wheelchair to get around. That year she walked the whole fair unaided! I'm so happy that everything came together so you could do something you wanted to do for yourself.

MommyRazz -- Good luck on your recovery. I have two friends who have had this surgery and it has made a significant impact to their lives. It takes a lot of courage.

You are in my thoughts & prayers.
