PLEASE Read (my child is missing)

This isn't from a "friend of a friend". This is MY CHILD! His name is Marc Medbery. He disappeared last Thursday (July 28, 2005). He was last seen in Bellevue, Nebraska about

2:15pm wearing a black t-shirt with a white long sleeve button down over it and a pair of jeans. He is 6'2" and weighs about 145#s. He is 17. I am including a link to a photo of him. PLEASE call the police if you see him!

This is a link to winkflash. The album password is "missing". You have to have an account with them to see the picture. It only takes a minute to get one and there is no cost involved. I didn't know how/where else I could post a photo. I'm sorry for the inconvenience involved with this. If you'd rather not get the account, please e-mail me individually and I can send you a photo by attachment. I didn't think the newsgroup would allow me to post it here. He withdrew over $500 from his savings account on Thursday so the police consider him a runaway and will NOT do an amber alert. They say they are not "actively seeking". He is listed with NCIC and I'm trying to get him added to NCMEC, but am hitting walls as they will only accept additions from law enforcement agencies and ours is none to rushed about doing it. Also, I contacted local TV stations about airing his picture. They said they can't use air time for runaways as they have so many. I told them that it's not like he's 5 hours late for curfew...he's over 5 DAYS LATE!

I don't know what else to do.

Thank you for anything you can do.

Thank you, Kenda. He is 17 years old. We have a friend (Dennis) who has a friend (Don) who owns a printing company. Dennis said he would call Don this morning to see if he would make us color copies of a flyer at no charge.

Prayers for his safe return--I have a 17 year old nephew who can be hotheaded sometimes, and make bad decisions, hopefully there is nothing more sinister in this situation. :*(

Hang in there, and keep us updated.

I am so sorry to hear this! I hope that he comes home soon. At least for now he has enough money to buy himself food and shelter. Prayers being said that he will call home and come home soon! Have you checked the bus and train terminals?

I am so sorry! I just find it sick that the police won't help. There should be a special force to deal with runaway situations. Anyway, while you are checking with friends and phone records...you might want to take a look at your computers history as well. Just in case he met someone on-line.

Cecelia -

Oh - how terrifying this must be for you!!!

Prayers and positive thoughts your way! And HIS! Hopefully he'll realize what a cold, cruel world it is out there, and come home safe and sound soon.

Oh Cecelia,

I'm so sorry for this. I will pray for his safety and will post his picture on my website as well as the other places I do business.

All I can say is track his debit card activity and be the police desk sergeant's worst nightmare. Be there for every shift change.

He may be only 17 but under the statute he is still a minor.
