OT: Totally crapping day

Well, as you all know I sprained my ankle, so I'm dealing with it OK. Getting kids ready for school making them do a lot of walking for me. Go to get my keys and they are not where they are supposed to be. So, I look around briefly for them and then think well we're just going to have to walk. We only live 1/2 mile away. DAMN I have a sprained ankle! I can't walk. I told my 12 year old son to walk my 9 year old to school. Actually, by then I told them to jog as much as they could. Everything went OK, but I've never sent them off alone like that. Very nerve racking. I called a friend to drive my son to school cause still couldn't find my keys and that school isn't close. After he left house all was quiet. Too quiet... where's the pup? Oh no the dog is lost... and I have a sprained ankle... boo hoo hoo... more walking I can't do, but I will to find my dog. Calm down check the house over once again... kids locked her in the garage. I looked for my keys for 3 hours. Found them in the couch. Definitely a kid didn't put them back where they belong after going to the car. Everyone feigning innocence. I must have walked around the house 1001 times looking for the keys. So, have been taking it easy since then. I went and got copies of the house key and the car key. Not often I have to call friends for help. I'm the stable reliable one. They are all laughing in a good way that I do every now and then become a damsel in distress.

Lynne, What a rotten day. Now you need to stay off that foot for about a day. Are you supposed to put ice on it? Because if you are, I found the best ice bag in the world... a ;large bag of frozen peas. You just keep refreezing it but of course you can't eat them! LOL They mold right around where ever you need them.

According to the guys at work, a small bag of frozen peas is also good when the men have been "snipped". They do recommend having 2, one in the freezer one on ..... aaheem, ya know where. Just an additional tip for the pea ice bag thingy...maybe not so good for a group of mostly women....

Oh Lynne!! Poor you....hope tomorrow is better. But stay off that foot! Don't make us come staple you to a chair. Wait, no this is a scrapbooking ng. No, we would use 2 way glue and glue you to a chair, then embellish the chair. :-)

Yes, she was shut in the garage. Couldn't hear her calling me when I was calling her. Poor thing not that she was injured just lonely in the garage for 30 minutes.

Thank Sabrina, the ice phase is over and were on to the heat phase. For Christmas a couple years ago I made everyone these really cool heating pads with rice in them. They work great. Just 2 minutes in the microwave. Something my little key hiders and due for mommy. :D

Sounds like a Monday to me. :-) Rest that ankle though, so it can get better.

Bless your heart! I know what its like to have the whole sky falling and no way to stop it! Just breathe deep and tell yourself, "This too shall pass!" Here's to tomorrow being better!

My mom made me one of those in the shape of a frog. It works great when my arthritis flares up and I can mold it around an achy knee or wrist.
