OT: What a lovely couple of days :)

Hello everyone, Just thought I'd pop in and let you know that I've not dropped off the face of the earth...lol. We've had a wonderful xmas this year... it was great having Tim in the house with us... it meant the magic of xmas was alive and well in our home!! (I got some really nice pics too that I will share on webshots when I get some time). Xmas Day DH, Tim and I spent the day at home... Mum and Dad dropped by in the morning to see what Santa had left and it was a nice visit. After lunch we went to the lake for a couple of hours - that was beautiful too. DH gave me a desk lamp (for my new scrapping area!!! WOOHOOO!!) once I get that all set up I'll take some pics to share as well... he also gave me a beautiful gold bracelet. I was embarrassed when I opened that 'cos we had made a pact this year we would not do the whole "big present thing" cos money is tight with me not working anymore. But he just said, "It's a bracelet, it's not BIG!" and how could I get mad at him... my sister says I should just lap up the attention... lol. Tim gave me a neat little hand-held electronic Sudoku game - I'm crazy about sudoku, so that was really apt! I gave DH a beautiful keyring, I'd gotten a photo of our dearly loved cat that passed away in July, etched onto the keyring... he absolutely loved it. I also gave him some Wild Turkey glasses, leather coasters and playing cards, which he really loved as well. Tim got so many things.... a remote control monster truck, cricket set, lots of other cars, trucks and little boy things too... Can't wait to start scrapping the pics! We had our family gathering at mums yesterday (boxing day, do you guys have boxing day?) Well, it was the first time in a number of years that the whole extended family has been together... it was fantastic!! Anyways, we're all going out to the beach today so the nephews can try out their new surf and body boards... I may not get the chance to post again for a couple of days, but I'll try my best to check in regularly. I pray that everyone had a lovely xmas, and I do apologise that I'll just be fleeting in and out for a little while... it's so busy here!!

Lots of love to you all, Cec...xxx.

Cec, glad you all had a wonderful day! Sound like the weather was just as nice as over here in SA!

We also said we would not give expensive gifts this year, but in the end I got diamond earrings after DH allready gave me a light box for embossing, earlier ;) He said it was payback time, because I gave him a Ferrari car model (he collects them) and then afterwards as a surprise, the Ferrari fragrance range. He was totally bowled over as he wanted to get it for himself, but thought it was too expensive :)
