Question about Etsy dot com

Has anyone sold anything on it and did you like it.

Have you bought anything on it and would you do it again.

I'm thinking of selling my cards on there to make some money.

Thanks, Kate

I have bought scrap supplies, rubber stamps, address labels, svg files, placemats and kitchen towels with knitted tops on etsy without any problem.

Hey Kate, I have sold and bought stuff on Etsy. Its a lot harder to sell than I thought so if you have a lot of time to spare, it would work. Otherwise, your cards just get lost in the mix. I didn't have the time so I just gave up. The people that are successful do it as their primary job, all day, all week.

What made it so hard?

Setting up shop is really easy but there are so many people on there that you're stuff just gets lost. Plus you have to market yourself off the site, just like you would if you had a physical business. To stay afloat, you have to list and relist stuff at least once a day to keep your stuff prominent otherwise everything gets buried.

Wow that's good to know.

I have heard of Etsy, but never bought or sold anything on it. I have been thinking about listing some things there myself. My dad looks there at woodworking crafts to get ideas and wants to sell on there too.

Good luck Linda
