Have old photos of everyone attending and have people match them to the current person.

Oooh, neat idea, Teresa! (as the keeper of the photos & usual reunion planner in my family, I'm gonna have to remember that one)

To answer Lin's original question, have you tried looking on google? If not, try "family reunion planning" (w/o the quotes). One site that I'd seen before is

How about getting everyone to create a scrapbook page about themself or their family? Then you or someone with a scanner (I'd suggest keeping the page size to 8.5x11 unless you or somone you know has a 12x12 scanner) could scan the pages later & make them available to everyone on CD. The original compiled book could be held by someone & brought to the next reunion.

Good luck!

You know after reading your suggestion something came to mind. If someone asked me to do one on myself I'm not sure what I'd do, but I'd come up with something. What I thought would be fun is to have you do a page on yourself and then get assigned a family member and do a page on them. That way a person could see how others see them... compare the 2 pages.

I read it in a family history/genealogy book. Your idea is also a great one.

We have a family reunion every year also. Everyone brings some small gifts. Something laying around home they've never used or something they made. Candles, t-shirts, jams & jellies, candy for kids, small toys, garden tools, anything. We have adult prizes and kids prizes. We have one of those big rolls of raffle tickets. We sell the tickets for 1.00. Then have drawings. Everyone walks away with something.

My mom is the baby of around 10 kids. So we have huge family. Each year a different sibling takes care of the reunion. Getting and paying for the place where we have it at. Putting flowers on grandparents graves. If someone passes away they send flowers. So the raffle is a way of getting money. We have founds its easier than just asking for money.

Our family really enjoys this and looks forward to it every year. Hope this might give you an idea.
