Sabrina - Chocolate Factory

Sabrina, Is the Chocolate Factory easy to find? The kids and I are making a trip to Falls of the Ohio State Park on Saturday morning. (June 4) The scrapper in me says it can't be too much out of the way to go to a scrapbook store.......right??? Sandy

Which Interstate are you going on? On I 64 you would take the Jeffersontown exit and stay on that road (Hurstbourne) and south to the Stonybrook shopping center. It is right in there. Real friendly ladies and you can say you heard about them from your group......they will know who you mean ! LOL

Sabrina, I made it to the Chocolate Scrapbook today. Very nice store. I could have stayed and looked longer, but the kids were tired after spending the morning climbing around on the fossil beds. I know I spent way too much money (budget shot again), but I got the album and paper I needed to complete the album for one of my little guys who is moving away. I've had him since he was a few months old and he's four now. I'm making him (and his family) an album of his years at the daycare to take with him. I also found some Girl Scout paper I had not seen yet, and I thought I had it all...... It's a 2 hour drive from my house. Not bad - and the kids want to go to the steamboat museum and the Louisville Slugger Museum this summer, too. I may get there again. Sandy

Sandy, So glad you got to see our favorite LSS. We do like it! Let me know when you all will be back in town and Lori and I will meet you there!! Lori is my wonderful transportation in these times if my dear Fred is not available. I will use any excuse to get to the Chocolate!

Sounds great to me! I'll use any excuse to get to meet scrap friends and do some scrap shopping! Lori

Let me know when you all decide to get together, I just realized that you are only an 8 hour drive away and besides I've got an ongoing project that is going to take me that way. I might be able to coordinate so that I can finally meet up with you guys.

Did I hear chocolate? I swore I heard the word chocolate........

Yeeaah...the place smells like chocolate too. hee hee actually they don't have their chocolate counter at the Louisville location anymore but am told they have it at their Indiana store. When they were thinking of names for their store they decided on the two most important items...chocolate and scrapbooks! What a combo!

I wondered about that. DS and GS (both age 8) were looking for the chocolate when we first went in. Then they spotted the Nascar stuff and forgot all about it. I have an appointment with the surgeon who is going to take care of my ankle next Monday. I'll know more then about when I can schedule a trip again. They had originally told me six weeks off my foot after surgery, but someone I know had a similar surgery and was using crutches three days later. Sandy

Sandy, I am leaving on vacation this Saturday and we will be gone awhile. We are overdue for a camping trip out in the woods. We are getting antsy to get out there and........do nothing!! LOL I hope I don't miss your visit back but be sure and call Lori or e=mail her. She is such a sweetie and you just have to meet her! She is so creative in her scrapbooking. Make sure you bring an album to share!
