Sandy's Oct CCC done

Nov 01, 2008 8 Replies

Finally completed my October CCC's. They are in Lynne's CCC album in my webshots account. I don't know why the second photo looks sort of fuzzy.... I made nine of the same cards. Printed Santa on the paper that looks like canvas and used black ink for distressing.

ooooh paper tearing I love it. Very pretty cards Sandy.

Those are some jolly 'ol cards there Sandy! :-) Santa Claus is always a favorite! I was going to ask where you got the Santa images until I read you printed them. They sorta resemble a Santa on some wrapping paper I had. I like your paper tearing..I keep forgetting about doing that more often. BTW thanks for the comment on my cards. I tend to do them all different, because the first year I ever made Christmas cards I think I made 30 of them all the same and got so bored making them, I swore I would never do that again! LOL Plus making them different is more like fun and being creative and playing with my supplies, than getting a chore done. :-) Linda

Sandy, these cards are just dandy. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I love the paper tearing. I can never get mine to look that good. Do you have secrets you're not sharing? lol.

Thanks. If you hold your tongue out the right side of your mouth...............just kidding. I just hold it with both fingers where I want the tear to start and tear toward me with my right hand. that way I get the white core to show so I can distress it if I want. I always tear a little at a time and go slow so I won't have too much white edge showing. I bought one of those metal tearing guides from Fiskars and have never used it.

Thanks, Linda. I found some old world Santa's that were free to download and have them on my computer. I love the old Santa's almost as much as I love snowmen.

That Santa is so charming!! Love the cards Sandy! Wonderful job as usual :)
