scrapbooking and copyright?

While borrowing and being influenced by other scrapbookers designs is a good thing, there are also some other issues to take into consideration. I just wrote a post about CASEing and Scraplifting at

Your link does not work.

However, I would consider it an honor if someone wanted to scraplift or copy something that I have done.

Have you ever noticed how many of the digital designers with blogs have piracy warnings concerning their work all over their pirated music/video filled sites?

Nothing. Information is made to be freely shared and that includes graphical information. Scrapbooking has nothing to do with financial gain unless you are one of those few people who makes a living from selling it.

If you don't want somebody copying it, DON'T POST IT TO THE INTERNET!

It seems that's what most people think.

I guess the real issue is the personal designs that are case'd and then sold as templates.

Hah, no. Haven't noticed. I definitely will be looking for it, I guess it would be a good laugh :)
