I gave my 7yr old niece a mini-scrap kit for xmas. Well she came over to spend the day with me today and brought it with her, along with some photo's of her as a baby. She wanted some help getting started with scrapping, so we sat and worked together (in my new area... hehehe) and these are the results!! She has done a fantastic job, IMO. I helped her with some ideas, but the majority of the work is her own. She loved using my tools like CM Corner Rounder (an oldy, but a goodie) and CM blades. She has not done any journelling on the pages as I suggested she sit down with her mum and do that together, that way she can learn how old she was, where she was etc that the pics were taken. Please have a look, they are in the "latest scrappings" album, titled Chloes Pages.
Scrapper in the Making
Very precious and what a wonderful way to spend time with your niece.
I have an eleven year old niece that I love to scrap with. She loves those paper edger scissors! I had bought about 40 pairs of those scissors and never used even one on a layout so I sent her home with a shoebox full of them. My sister said there is not a single paper in their house that does not have some sort of a decorative edge now....... ;o)
>Isn't it wonderful to be able to share our craft with the youngens? It was such an enjoyable morning, I loved it :) She is watching DVD's now... lol, she's all scrapped out I think. luv Cec...xxx
She did great Cec and I bet you had a good time sharing that time with her! Her pages show that she has a good eye for scrapping and hopefully you will encourage her to keep going. :o) WTG Chloe!!!!
She did a great job. I think she'll "soon be one of us..she'll soon be one of us..."
She did a great job! Give her lots of high-fives for a job well done. You definately have a scrapper in the works.
She did a great job for being her first time. Looks like she also got a lot done.
Wow, there is serious talent there - I am used to teaching kiddies in the shop during the school holidays, and I must say, not many 10 year olds have an eye like hers.
Enjoy spending the time teaching her - wonderful bonding!
Andrea
Great pages! A nice time spent with family :)
Chloe is one talented little scrapper. What a nice way to spend time with her. Thanks for sharing her pages.
Sounds like both of you had a great time. She did a great job. I have a hard time trying to keep them from using way too many stickers. I love helping young ones get started. All of my Girl Scouts scrap now, and I help teach 4-Hers in the spring. Sandy
