Sound familiar?

Question

I lost my cutting mat. I have my scrapping stuff all in one place and it's quite organized. (I have been a regular over at alt.recreation.clutter for years) So, knowing that I wanted to work on a couple of layouts as I watched TV tonight, I looked for it. I found:

-6 mostly full taperunner refills crammed at the back of a drawer

-my red CM cutting blade

-the pair of scissors I was sure my kids had taken, and finally, ta da......

-the cutting mat, neatly placed in a stack of pages I did at the speed layouts class

Couldn't find my corner rounder, so I ran across the my neighbour's house (the CM rep) and bought a new one. She offered to lend me hers but I knew if I bought it, the old one would show up for sure.

I've done 4 pages so far tonight.

LOLOL! I know exactly what you mean! I have a 6" metal ruler that is always hiding from me. The problem is that it has a shiny metal surface, and it reflects whatever it's lying on, so it blends into its background like a chameleon. The poor DH is CONSTANTLY being accused of "borrowing" it, and then it turns up lying right out there on the scrapping table in plain view. Oh, well, it keeps him on his toes. LOL!

Can I plead the 5th amendment?  LOL  Yes, that sounds all too familiar, and  usually I'm asking the kids if they've had whatever it is I'm looking for.  Most of the time they have no clue what I'm talking about and then I feel  like an idiot when I find it hiding.
