2005 Scrapbook goals

I set a goal last January to scrap at least one LO per week. I looked at my totals for the year and found that I did more than meet my scrapbooking goal. Hopefully next year will be less stressful and I will get more done.

My totals are: Layouts - 142 Paperbag albums - 3 paint cans - 3 Altered tins - 2 Swaps - 7

6x6 albums - 1 (not part of the LO totals) 8x8 albums - 1 (not part of the LO totals) Clip Boards - 6 Star albums - 2

Now I need to set my goals for 2006. Sandy

Good for you Sandy! I set a goal last year of one LO a day. LOL Silly me...what was I thinking? So this year, I'm taking notes from Sandy here and going with one LO a week. Already have one down for this week! LOL

You guys are amazing, I am going to stick to 1 LO a month for 2006.

Sandy some of your other ideas ie. paperbag albums, clipboard and star albums sound intriguing as I have never heard of them before, please send me some details or give me a page where I can go and see some of your work.

Andrea, One of my paperbag albums, one of the star albums, 3 of the clipboards, and two of the paint cans are in my webshots account in the misc album. You are welcome to look at them there. I just checked and the star album is in the challenges album.

One a week eh? I think I may be able to do that...great idea! My DH will probably be taking our boys fishing a lot this year. They already have their fishing pole and vests ready. They plan on meeting him wearing their vests. I don't fish--so that leaves me plenty of time to do some scrapping. The case Jessica got me for Christmas is just perfect for my crop bag to tote my stuff to the fishing hole. Does a swap page count? Jacqui

That's a good goal Sandy, one LO a week! I think I'll set myself the same goal for this year!! One of my MAJOR scrapping goals this year is to finally set up my Scrappin Space and get everything organised. At the moment I have to do my scrapping at the dining room table, and it really bugs me that I have to pack it all away a few times a day for meals etc... It also means that I don't get to do as much work as I could do... If I have my space then I can leave what I'm working on out and go back to it whenever I get the chance. (DH generously gave up his desk, but it still has all of his junk in it..lol, I need to get organised and possibly get ruthless too).

I consider a LO a LO regardless and think recipe swaps should be counted. I know I was at a CM crop one night and working on my recipe swaps and the consultant had never seen a recipe swap before. She would not consider the pages LO's because they didn't have pictures. I've done LO's about events that had memorabilia and journaling without pictures. I didn't count my recipe swaps in my full count.....wonder how many more that would make me.......... Sandy

My scrap table seemed to be the catch-all area for anything the family wanted me to look at or deal with. Over the holidays I set up an extra table in the office area to use, but everyone used it for the catch-all. The good news is that they put it there instead of on my scrap table. I have not yet taken it down. It's crowded, but now my scrap table has only my stuff on it.........I still can't see the table. I'm working on top of my own pile there. Sandy

You mean you actually eat at your dining room table? My family has gotten so used to eating on tv trays, that I think they would be shocked it they got to eat at the table!

LOL! Yes Cathy, we eat at the table. Mind you, we have an open lounge-dining room, so the TV is still on "sometimes", other times I get the cranks and it goes OFF while we eat. I grew up in a large family and we always ate dinner together at the table. Call me old fashioned, but it's about the only time the family is together where we can enjoy conversations and find out about each others' days. luv Cec...xxx

I agree with you Cec. We have always eaten together too, now we just do it on tv trays instead of the table. I suppose if my daughter was younger (she is 22) we would still be at the table though.

One of my goals is to finally try to get pages done. Another is to stay in the group more.

I didn't set any goals for last year. I did do a 2 page spread but that was all. Just getting out of the depression of loosing my mother. Hopefully this year will be better.

Well, you can call me old fashioned too, we always eat at the table for supper!, and growing up my family did too. I'm not home for breakfast, as I have to be at work at 6AM everyday, but on my days off me and the kids eat breakfast together. (DH doesnt 'do' breakfast) They really look forward to mom cooking for them on those days. Now growing up I also remember we rarely ate at the dining room table, because it was always covered with games, mail, folded laundry, or we did our homework on it. It only got cleaned off for company...**memories** :-)

I guess I should set some scrappin goals for 2006.I think I will have to think about it...:-)
