SoCalers Treading Water OK?

Checking in with Kryss & Cathy & my other fellow SoCal residents to see if your homes are where they were this time yesterday & that "inside" is still snug & dry.

For those elsewhere, we had a doozy of a storm last night! Had heard that the Burbank area was getting over 5.5" an hour at one point! Sure sounded like that here the middle of the night. Went on & on. Turned on the radio & they said "some areas had as much as 3 inches", but it sure sounded like it was coming down heavier than that. And it went on for hours.

Loved the thunder, tho! That's one thing I miss from the East Coast. Haven't heard thunder that strong/loud in the 15+ years I've been here.

More rain on the way. Stay safe & dry, y'all!

Alicia, I hope you also didn't have any damage to your home. I must admit, I love rain and thunder. We sure could do with a bit of rain in Cape Town. We are in a drought at the moment. Is little Tigger also okay with all the noise? My three always snuggle up on the bed when the heavens open up like that.

Yea y thoughts are with ya'll out there too.

LYNNE (Kings Crown) where are you? Are you still high, dry and not having any leaks in your new place?!!

I (WE) sure hope so!!!

I'm doing fine, but worried about Southern California as I watched the news last night. We haven't had heavy rain. Just regular rain if that makes sense.

We survived. Spent most of Friday afternoon driving between here and Thousand Oaks and back, not fun in the heavy rain. Loved the thunder and lightening though.

Spent the day at Disneyland yesterday. Everyone started leaving around 4:00 pm when the rain decided to start again! I guess we are part of the die-hard crowd, we stayed until about 8:30 and got to ride lots of rides!

Thousand Oaks and back, not fun in the heavy rain.

Been there, done that! 101 freeway between the 405 & TO. Road, what road? I couldn't see it! Glad you arrived home safe & sound.

Ditto! That's a rare treat here in SoCal (one thing I miss after growing up on the east coast).

Glad you had fun at Disneyland!

Alicia
