Anyone live along the Carolina Coast?

I live about 250 miles inland of SC and we should be OK from the present hurricane. Is there anyone in our group who lives close to the Carolina Coast, SC or NC? Please report in after the storm passes, and I will do the same! Thanks, Barbara in SC

What you do before the storm hits is probably as important as the category of the storm. No loose stuff in the yard, trees trimmed, windows covered (always remember to keep at least one window slightly open to equalize pressure inside and out), water, radio, lamps or lanterns, food that can be eaten cold or warmed over Sterno....dry ice packed in freezers, ice in fridge. Once prepared, you can sit back and be awed by the power of nature.

Barbara, you know DS & family live north of you, they should be fine. DS knows about hurricanes, since we were in Brownsville, TX when Beulah hit there, then in New Orleans, visiting when Camille tore up the MS Coast in

1969. We went over to Biloxi's Back Bay, in D'Iberville where our God Mothers lived and we saw the damage done to their property.

I am a bit concerned about the 2 DDs in FL, especially one because her DS was in the earthquake area today.
