Bizarre designer fashions

I think the above dress *could* be really cute IF the design were modified just a bit. It reminds me of the Afghani Nomad Dress pattern from Folkwear. I've had several similar dresses that I just loved literally to death (the dress' death, not mine!). I think some dork probably imagined this as a more "edgy" version of that type of dress. IMHO "edgy" seems to translate as "dorkitized" or even "massively dorkitized" by making the clothing too skimpy to cover one's rear end a la Paris Hilton!!! :-(

Erin (oooh, feeling bitchy *this* morning - need a bit cup of tea and home-made rhubarb muffins!)

She must have thought she was going to a Middle Eastern costume party and> chose a harem costume to go in.> Slap my face. That was a nasty thing to say. But it came out before I could > stop it.> Looking very red in the face, Naw, not as red as Sheryl and whoever-it-was wearing the same dress in bright pink at the same event when they noticed each other. (I can't recall her name. Darker skin tone. Her ribs don't stick out.)

Hey, don't deprive us of the snarky one-liners. Your gut reaction!

I simply have to get that backless number so that I can show off my backside (NOT!) Sacre bleu!

Well doesn't that just figure. Using that kind of logic, I'd label your local police department a gang.

Isn't this the female version of "Two Wild and Crazy Guys"?

Oh yes... Dances With Chicken Coop!

Brings a whole new meaning to making consumes out of curtain fabric...

She looks like she wants to play Twister ... that or a loaf of Wonder Bread.

Kind of related, and mildly interesting...I found the online L. A. Times article about why Emmy fashions may not be too inspiring:

The boots and gloves make this work. I mean dork.
