And then bring the country to a halt. When they did it over here, many people couldn't get to school for a week and it was right before major exams. The exam results suffered that year and many didn't get to university. I'd rather let a company show large profits. Oh, and the one over here was about fuel prices, not one companies profits.

What is wrong with buying shares (stocks) in a company and making money? Or, should we all be poor? Got to retire someday, so invested money better turn a profit! Even the rich lose money in the stockmarket, not just the poor! Lots of guess work and hope. Even some poor people have gotten rich by stockmarket investments.

Ok, first off, Mobil buy gas from several other companies. Shell, Suncor, and Imperial Oil in Canada supply the stations on the St.l Clair River. I have followed trucks over the bridge for 30 years, mostly from Shell, straight to Mobil stations in Michigan. Secondly this economic recovery you mentioned, try telling that theory to the thousands of unemployed people in Michigan. Bush has done nothing but decimate the young men and women of this country with his terroist activities. As one who has lost 2 sons, both to Bush wars I do not believe either he nor his father before him has done anything to make this country a better place to live. We are more scared of our neighbours than ever, carry more guns and other weapons, and are less respected as a nation than we were with Clinton. I carry dual citizenship by birth and find that Canadians are more mature in their global thinking and actions than the US is now. While I live here and support my communtiy I still find a more relaxed atmosphere in Ontario than Michingan. Do they know something we do not. As for gas prices they pay 3 times what we do for gas produced in their country, most of which is shipped to the US. So before you boycott a company you should find out where the product is purchased. And yes I expect to get all the leave now letters, but just keep them I am too old to change and to broke to leave, besides I do love the US for what it used to be and could be again without the egos in Washington.
