I almost shouted "NOOOOO" when I saw the picture of understitching of the neckline. Then I read your explanation and understood perfectly, stretch panne does curl badly.

Kate, I love the idea of using the PJ top from I-Care as a Jacket.Did you use the one without the yoke. Can you explain how the collar and front front was done when you have a chance. Thanks, Juno

That's what I thought. And didn't the bargain fabric scrub up well! Amazing what the right design and the right stitches and a good pressing will do! ;)

Yeah, I *hate* understitching from the wrong side, but after unpicking it for the THIRD time... Well, life's too short!

The collar/band is easy. I just cut two lengths of fabric 6.5" wide and long enough to go from center back to hem. They got backed with the knit interfacing and then sewn together in the middle, making a long band. Make it a few inches longer than you need and trim it to fit. I sewed the hem ends, turned it right side out and stitched it to the front and neck of the jacket with the serger. Pressed and ready to go! I put it on after turning the hem up on the body of the jacket.

So very true!!! It really did show itself nicely...and does not look like an inexpensive dress (or jacket) at all!!! But then, you did it so....duh!! LOL ;)

BTDT. Not fun. Panne can really, really put up a huge fight if it is in the mood. Great save on that one, and I agree completely frogging something
