Help with Bra Making

Hello I am having a problem with making a bra for myself. Been sewing awhile but my measurements for a bra are hard to fit. Here are my measurements Chest 44" Bust 53"(in the best bra i have atm which does not fit well at all) Rib/midriff 40.25" I made a test bra using WL-60 Underwires and Based the cups off a 10" circle. The band seemed like it fit OK but the cups were still WAY too small. Any suggestions for making/fitting a cup pattern that large. It is very hard to fit as i work as well as i cannot pick my boob up where its supposed to go hold it there and fit at the same time. Any help would be much appreciated.

Some garments just don't lend themselves to DIY. Buy one that fits and cut it apart to make a pattern:

What she said. That's what eventually worked for me.

If you are not up to cutting one up and creating a pattern yourself, there is someone in Australia who will do it for something under $50 but I forget how much, and there is also someone in Canada who will do the same.

Several years ago, THREADS magazine published an article called The BRA Dilemma. I printed it out, so in case, I can't find my favorite one for sale. I believe it is still in their archives. Check it out at: Www,threadsmagazine.com
