Need help with jacket pattern I am trying to use

Hello everyone,

I bought a pattern last night which is just perfect in style, but its a bit big on me. Usually I don't have problems with this, but while I was mocking up the jacket I started having trouble with the shoulders and armscyes, just in the back though. When I try it on it looks like the back of the armscye goes straight down, no curving at all, even though it has quite a bit of curve. I want to make the curve bigger but it is princess seamed and its only about 1.5" away from the seam now.

I had to bring in the front side underarm seam about 3/8th of an inch for the top 4" and add a dart to the front. I also had to bring down the shoulder seam on a slope as the jacket does not use shoulder pads, and I don't use shoulder pads! I think I have weird slanty shoulders. I decreased the ease in the shoulder cap by about 1", so the armscye is

19" and the shoulder cap and underarm is 23". , it sets in nicely, but the back is just not right.

It is new look 6609

advice is appreciated. Hopefully the answer is easy and I am notseeing it clearly.

TIA!

Replying to my own post. I figured it out, I had to rotate it towards the back and give back some of the seeve cap ease. Its perfect now.
