i spent the weekend in NY cleaning out my notMIL's attic (oh, bad 70s flashbacks with the clothes we were sorting! more polyester than i *ever* want to see again). amongst the ruins of many years of stuff put away to deal with later, i found a sewing machine. it's a White Domestic (813-7 molded into the bottom). it's had an electric motor added, but it can run by treadle (if i had the treadle bits). it's dark brown with gold decoration. the obvious missing bits are bobbin case, cover for the bobbin, & the electic cord. i can't find a make/model plate on it. where can i find info on this beast? i'd like to fix it up if possible, otherwise it's a doorstop :) lee

Pain mixed with joy, though.
