I'm so out of touch I had to google Seth Aaron. I've heard (vaguely) of Project Runway but as we don't have cable I rarely watch tv. We do get pbs kids (VBG) but that's about all I see although my DD and SIL watch programs on DVD.
She must have been so excited, she has a huge happy grin. She's a beautiful girl and a very talented seamstress. I still love to see the dress she made for her graduation, it's such an inspiration.
Thanks for sharing,
Judie
I only started watching Project Runway this past season, mostly because there were two contestants from the local area and DGD and DD alerted me to it. The concept of requiring contestants to create clothing from really out-there resources (often not fabric at all) seemed really weird to me.
I wasn't real keen on Seth Aaron Henderson at first, not being of the spiked-hair-tattoos-and-black-fingernail generation, but he grew on me. By the end of the series I was rooting for him. He has his clothing designs in several local boutiques.
She was delighted to meet him in person. DGD is sunny by nature, and smiles easily. Not the usual pouting
14-year-old, I'm happy to say. It would have made my year if she had actually been wearing "the dress"! Wouldn't that have been a hoot??? ;-)You're welcome. I think you can tell, I'm over the moon that she *wants* to learn to sew.
