Sewing for Pleasure Expo anyone?

Just back in from a very quick trip to London. Whirlwind tour of many museums for "the Boys" (sons and DH), I did get to look at the fashion in the V & A for an hour!!! Lovely things, could have done with longer. I pressed my nose up against the bit for the clothes of the Tzars but time was against me.

I have returned here to an email, that says I have been selected for the final of the restyle/recycle sewing competition. So have been given free entry to the sewing for pleasure expo at the NEC in Birmingham UK in march. What I wanted to ask is any one here familiar with the expo? are you going? What should I expect, I only have the Saturday 13th there as I have work commitments

I imagine it will be a good idea to leave here with only half a suitcase in case of good finds.......I hope

Congratulations Claire! Can't say I've ever been to a sewing expo, but found this weblink for you:-

interesting - wish I could join you. Be prepared for lots of walking and poor food - that was my experience of a trade fair at the NEC about 3 / 4 years ago. HTH

Thank you for that Sarah. I went on-line to see what it's all about. I love the idea of the costumes from Mrs Henderson Presents. I'm hoping for habby essentials and a bit of yummy fabric which will just have to come home with me. I'm guessing I will fell short of time if anything. I'll let you all know how it goes.
