Hi

I'm new to the group but frustrated in finding an answer to my problem from Singer - My machine is jammed - The wheel wont turn at all - Have cleaned bobbin area - everything else - Still wont sew - I was right in the middle of successfully and all of a sudden it stopped -- End of story

Hi Nancy - welcome to the < sadly slowly dying > group. I'm not familar with your Singer 337 - sorry - but there are some good people here who might help - Ron Anderson is a treasure .. or see the links below - just a quick google search - - google might find many more.

I bought a few old Elna machines and a Necchi - and revived them - with help from here - and internet research + Yahoo Groups ... I really hate to see good old sewing machines going into the scrap metal bin ! John T.

Have you cleaned and lubricated it regularly? Sounds like something has seized up.

NOTE: Do not use *oil* on the gears, use lubricant.

HTH,

Well my answer would be to bring it to a shop it is well worth repairing and likely something very simple. Off the top of my head I would say a thread lock in the bobbin area but I have seen mice get in there and clog them up with all sorts of things the 5 pounds of raisins was my favorite

Really??? Wow!!!

And, LOL.
