I could do with a so-so day

Funny. I am known at one of the local establishment as Sew/Sew. Once had a customer meet me there to pick up a machine and no one knew who Ron Anderson was.

You mean your customer asked for "that so-and-so"* and no one made the connection? ;->

No he asked for Ron, should have asked about sew/sew or sewing machine man, everyone knows that.
Too funny, Ron!!!!!! I'd heard the theory that a lot of men identify themselves by what they do, but that's kind of extreme. ;)
