Singer 101-4 and 101-12 !!!

No I didn't find the machine while I was cleaning my sewing room, but I DID (finally, after 21 years) go through my DMIL's sewing box. Lots of odd buttons, cards of needles, snaps, hooks and eyes, a funny little pin cushion, spools of thread, marking tools, many yards of seam binding(!), and....

An *original* manual exactly like this:

and a box of attachments in a dark green Singer box . It was the one she was still sewing on when I met her in 1958, I upgraded her to a used 500a about 1970. She probably donated the machine and cabinet, it was not in her home when we moved her here in 1995, but there at the bottom of her sewing box was the manual and box of attachments.

Several pairs of scissors, and her *tiny* silver thimble. I will have the scissors sharpened and give them to one of my DDs or DGD, the thimble is going to join my thimble collection.

What? Doesn't everyone have a thimble collection?
