Treedle bobbin help please

I am having a senior moment, and for the life of me I can't remember how I wound the bobbin on my tredle machine last time!! Yes I know old age or cold weather or something.

It's a long bobbin called fusée here in france. I have put a couple of pictures up on my personal pages. Just click reedle machine on the link below.

Links to a page explaining it would be helpful or your personal knowledge even better. Thank You Claire

That sure is a pretty machine! It has a German-style bobbin winder like my Frister & Rossman model E. Let's see if we can find some help.... After looking at

, I think the one the most closely matches your winder is Stoewer. Hope this helps.

Looking at the possibilities I am wondering if I am suposed to have a rubber wheel where I have a grooved wheel on the right of the bobbin winder. I can't imajine that I got the belt move over to drive the little wheel last time, prahaps the rubber wheel got it's self lost "the borowers" again? I have subscribed to the treadle on list but will have to wait 24hours untill I am on with them. Heres hoping, Claire

If the belt doesn't line up with the grooved wheel on the bobbin winder, you might be right. In that case, the grooved wheel with its bobbin winder tire in place would fit up against the handwheel.
