Update on Emily

Oh, that one is lovely! I'm so sorry to wish Emily well, I failed to read her post because my computer is still a pain in the eye with its broken grahpic card. Anyway, my best wishes to her now and she won't be sorry to have had that done; auntie got that, too, and the befoer/after effect was so striking that she wanted to kick her own butt not to have it done it sooner. Tell her to keep it easy in the first couple of days and to mind the doc! ;-) (Yeah, it's me again, trying to teach granny sucking eggs... ) ;-)

Yes indeed! Almost everything about the surgery is a plus. I still have the starbursts-around-street-lights at night thing, but it's a minor issue.

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to do, and I plan to make another just like it for my twin, she loves those colors as well.

Indeed! Today her vision should be clearing and she'll really start to marvel at the improvement.

Again, I am posting my sincere thanks to everyone for their concerns on my surgery. As I posted earlier, I believe this is the most wonderful group of friends a person can have, and even more amazing, is the fact that most of us have never met in person.

It is hard for me to believe, even after seeing it with my own eyes, that somebody would create such a gorgeous piece of artwork that Beverly did for me. There are absolutely no words to describe the feelings I had when I opened the package. Nobody has ever done such a nice thing for me in my almost 79-years. Besides being embroidered with butterflies on one of my favorite colors-lavender, it was even gift-wrapped in the same shade of paper. DS said, "Wow!" several times while I was showing it to him.
