I have the original, and it's one of my favorite sewing books. Sorry, I can't say if the "revised and updated" version is any good, haven't seen it.

I also have the original. The photos are dated (good for some laughs), but the information is timeless. I also found the alterations book that went with it. I found both on Ebay, very reasonable.
