This is a new one to me. Can anyone tell me what it is? Is it a fashion fabric, or for home dec? If fashion, would it be considered a bottom weight or appropriate for suiting?

My search found several sites in China. It appears to be a brushed-pile synthetic(? or cotton) , suitable for "household textiles and garments" " alova, cotton-imitation velvet"
