bowls

Turned two bowls today, I was looking thought the old posts using google, and found people talking about the best gouge for inside bowls. they said that the best one is a deep fluted one. Is that the one that is U shaped? the U shape, with the top edges sharpned as well seems to work quite well, because it works even when the cut is deeper then the entire front of the gouge. if there is a better way, please let me know. thanks Reyd

the bowl gouge has the tops ground far back(after having a very interesting catch) so its sort of a U shape, (the bottom of the U being the the front of the gouge from the side) it cuts fast, using almost the entire edge at one time, the only problem being it gets very hot. Ill try the ( shaped one on monday, thanks for the suggestion. in article 4011b632 snipped-for-privacy@newspeer2.tds.net, George at someone snipped-for-privacy@microsoft.com wrote on 1/23/04 4:07 PM:
