This separation is not guaranteed by the Creator or by the constitution. :) Rcw is made up of a huge mix of people with widely varying backgrounds who turn wood for many reasons. A commonality is respect for the manual crafts/arts and being able to appreciate the rewards for pursuing them. We have had thought provoking threads on rcw re the importance of educating _hands along with _brains. There has been a recent failure (or so it appears) by the academic establishment to continue producing educated people who happen to work with their hands. Is there a slow return to a proper place for manual arts/crafts' in academia?
How about a progress report by those active in the field, as well as some opinions by those who hold tools in their hands. Arch
