OT What happened to rec.woodworking

Changed in service? What? It disappeared from my line-up, reloaded it = and no new postings in three days.

Something like that happened to me the other day. I had to reset my newsgroup list to get it back. I still don't know what happened, and it was only one group out of the eleven that I read.

Your news agent keeps track of the last article numbers it has received from the server. Occasionally someone at the ISP makes a mistake and resets the article numbers, so they start counting at 1 again. When that happens, your agent thinks it has already pulled all of the articles.

If your agent software has a newsrc file, try clearing the numbers from the line for this group and just put a zero there. Then the agent will grab all of the current articles on the server and get back in sync. Otherwise you may be able to select the group and get all articles for that group.
