My goal is to be having so much fun, it takes me a day or two to realize that I've died.. A few days after that, I'll retire..

The two originals in this thread remind me of a sig file I read some time back...
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'WOW! What A Ride!'"
Thanks Kevin, I knew there was more or a better way of saying what I meant but hopefully we all get the point.
I believe that was Hunter Thompson. And after he died I think he had his ashes shot up into the atmosphere on a rocket, with a bunch of drunk revelers bidding him bon voyage. He certainly lived out his quote - and was part of a great party even after he was "gone".
And maybe that's one of the things to remember - and act upon every day - creating good, or even great memories, for yourself and all who you encounter.
It's not that life's too short, but that you're dead so long.
Here and now is the only place you get to play. Yesterday's gone and even little kids on Christmas Eve can't get tomorrow to arrive quicker.
