"I have the mind of a chimpanzee. Turning fits the attention span." -- Macy.
What is that supposed to mean?
he's bragging, once all of hollywood gets the word that he has the intelligence of a chimpanzee, they'll blacklist him for being too smart.
Somebody help me here... it wasn't Ruth Buzzy or Lilly Tomlin - I can see her in my mind's eye, Laugh In regular, dark hair usually pulled back in a bun (er somp'in)... anyway, she practically had a trademark on the phrase:
"Luuuv iiit."

This is a Macy-ism. He talks like this. I think it means he does turning because it doesn't require a lot thinking and focused attention. I find turning soothing and meditative. I think he does, too. Dan
JoAnne Worley Though I was just a kid when I watched Laugh-In. Back in the 80's one of the local stations re-ran several episodes. One skit always was the news past, present and future. The future news would be set 20 years ahead, and in one episode there news was about President Reagan, I think at the time he was governor of California. Martin
YES that's her - thank you. I, too, was pretty young for Laugh-in, maybe
