So, who was the registrar who dropped the ball? It would be nice to know and maybe the publicity would do them some good.

Bill I had registered with farciert.com Their software would not let me renew my domain registration and they did not answer e-mails. I find it hard to believe that a business did not want my money. Incidentally, dr2.net where I am hosted did a great job on providing service during the name change.
Thanks for the info, enquiring minds wanted to know. I checked out their website and any link that went to contact info or who they might be was a 404 or an e-mail addy. Sounds to me that they may be out of business. That would explain the lack of response. I'm glad that the new bunch is working out though.
