Hi, I'm looking for some advice on using the Sorby Texturing Tool. I am having difficulty getting an orange peel texture on some hard maple. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Are you trying to texture flat grain or end grain. I think I remember that it works better on end grain.............Barry
No, the intended purpose and design of the Sorby Texturing tool is that it isn't like a chatter tool that really only works on endgrain. The texturing tool works quite well on both.

First of all, what have you tried? What kind of effect are you getting instead? That tool and that effect is all about presentation angle, speed of the turning piece AND how fast you're moving the tool.
A few tips here...
