Depending on how far along the wood is, there is a product in Canada that can be ordered over the net called Polyall 2000. Minwax makes a wood hardener that is sold all over in the US. Other folks have used a
50% solution of water and Titebond glue . Soak the blank in it and allow to dry then turn and finish
