T & T

I would never be able to just stop. I will be somewhere turning something, I am just not going to do it when I don't feel like it and I am not going to do it to make a living or just to pay bills...... We are scaling back our lifestyle to live a little simpler and try not to buy new computers and trucks every spring......

I have only one or two stores that I will be supplying, owner are good friend, so I can't quit them... My daughters are still aroung here and Atantic Canada is really special for the two months of the year we call summer, so we will be back in this area for thet summer and where ever it is not snowing for the rest of the year....

I will likely turn a couple of thousand bowls each summer and a few for gifts and friends we meet at the campgrounds, but I am going to take more time to really enjoy this gift we have beenn given by the creaters of the lathe.....

I will be proudly wearing my "I'l be turning" T shirt and picking wood chips from my teeth with a chainsaw file. I am sure there will be a few complaints, bu I am sensitive to that and will do what I can to keep all happpy...

Anyhow,,,,,, nice chatting with you......Ken.....

Ken, This is NOT called "retiring"! : ) You just can't stop turning, can you!?!

Although I know nothing about camping with a turner next door, I can appreciate the people on vacation desiring peace and quiet. If they are not retired, they only have a week or two in the quiet world of camping. Perhaps you should heed the warnings of the actual group you'd be in the midst of instead of a group of turners who think the sound of the lathe is the same as a robin's.

Good luck! Ruth
