This morning while driving my daughter to school, I noticed a large pile of wood along the side of the road. Where I live, tree trimmers often dump wood here so that others will pick it up for firewood, instead of the trimmer having to pay a disposal fee.
Most of the time the wood is Eucalyptus, of which I have plenty. This morning, however, it was an entire Star Pine (Norfolk Island Pine) tree with the base about 18" D. After losing my daughter, I ran home, got my truck and loaded until the springs were bottomed out. I guess you could call this a drive by gloat :-)
