DIGITAL GRANNY IS BACK!

Jumping in with a comment or two, YES, OH *is* Ohio. two. ... I had to laugh about the weather thing, Gem... and had a thought or two (ok, a gadzillion, but who's counting!)... anyway, thought of Greenland, which is supposedly actually Icy, and Iceland, which is supposedly actually 'green'... then thought of WI (Wisconsin, USA) where *we* always said.. if you don't like the weather here, wait FIVE minutes, it'll change... and... MI (Michigan, USA), in particular, the UP (upper penninsula)... where the joke's always been,.... we missed summer last year, as we went away for the weekend.. LOL, Noreen who knows why she and Gem get along, we both *a-hem* "babble" and slightly exagerate!

Could I get a quick refresher course on how to do that, please? I used to know how to do it before the old computer died completely, but haven't found the place to look on this new computer, and I really don't want to mess it up. :o/

Also... could you (or anyone for that matter) please guide me to where to look for the thing for checking how much space is available on floppy disks and hard drives. I used to know where to find that on the old computer, but it isn't where I used to look on this computer. *sigh* I used to keep track of how much space was left on disks as I was saving things on them, so that I wouldn't get a file half saved and have it blocked because the disk was full... now I can't do that. :o/

Argh... I've been away from the computer world too long, so I forgot half the stuff I used to know... and that wasn't all that much.

In Internet Explorer: Tools/Internet Options/Delete Files

Windows, to see space: My computer, highlight drive, right click, properties.

I agree with Anna Maria. When I was in Italy in the latter half of November, 2001, I found it to be chillier than I expected. As a result I have a beautiful wool scarf (in colors of Tuscany) and lined leather gloves which I bought in Florence.

Hi, Nora. It's amazing that it's feeling so chilly so close to the Memorial Day weekend, isn't it? I'm debating whether I want to just go sit in my room and do some cross stitch while watching TV, or climb back under the covers. I really don't want to turn the heat up, but may just have to do so. Now that I think of it, this might be the time to weat that poncho I bought. Hope things dry up out your way soon.

-- Carey (going to check where I put that poncho with sleeves.....)

Ah Gem, with my Eudora software, I can't click on a website address. I have to do a copy and paste, it may be my server who will not let me get to this website. It is not the end of the world,

My internet Explorer does not give me "Internet Options" under tools, and no "Delete files" either, what version of Internet Explorer are you talking about.

Els

Internet Explorer, all versions for years and years have had Internet Options under Tools. It is and has been the last item on the dropdown list. And the delete button is about in the middle of the presenting tab on the Internet Options tab.

Realize I'm saying Explorer the browser, not Windows Explorer.

Anna Maria, why is it that the heat has to be switched off at night? Is it a law, a custom, or the way the heating systems are built? Just curious.
