It was a wonderful day, and I am sure your spirit got quite a boost Nora.

We had over 70 people dropping in. Lots of great show and tell to share, and I showed everyone how to tube spin. One of the guessts, made the little skein she created on the tube her show and tell. It is amazing how many wonderful new ideas I saw. One grandmother (her newest grand daughter was there with her mother, and was cared for by everyone, handed from hand to hand....(big smile) made from her handspun yarns squares for an afghan, and each square had a different sheep on it. There was a lovely childs scarf, with on one end in contrasting colour a sheep's face and on the other end in the same contrasting colour the leggs. It is easy to design yourself, and use any kind of animal, or face even. The knitting in between was plane knitting. Lots of great spun skeins from rayon and silk blends, with bubbles and boucle effects. Lots to take in and there is always a great pot luck lunch with sharing of recipes. One of the guild members took pictures and you can see these here

enjoy

Eimear had left already she had to organize something for work. I am hidden to side in one of the shots, Creating a name tag for one of the Guests. I wear a blue turtle neck with a darker linen top over it, glasses, and lots of wrinkles.....LOL

It is a great group Judy, from all over Vancouver Island, Saltspring Island and there was a lady visiting from the prairies. This year we also had friends wandering in to just come and watch the spinning. Lots of fun and kindres spirits. You know the same way you experienced when you go to the your annual knit in, the one I missed last year (can't think of the name) It is going to be held in Seattle this year I am told. The moment you walk in you know you are in good company....LOL

Did you look at the pictures, that is the next best thing to being there. I did not take these, my batteries were dead. Left my camera on over night.....not just wrinkles but getting wooly in the head as well...

I did, indeed, look at the pictures, and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. That was one of the reasons I wished I had been there.

You are welcome Nora. I now have a setup where I can post pictures as well, but have not come around to doing so as yet. I will keep you posted on that as soon as I have that set up
