Els' website specially for Katherine.....:-))

Hello everyone, with the help of my daughter I have ventured into creating my own website. The picuters are mainly going to be about fiber events. So far I have made one page with pictures from our trip to SaltSpring island, and the second page is about the sheep to shawl event, I participated in, in 1979 and 1980. I have already been told that I should have reversed these two pages, and also that I do not have the correct headings. Peggy looks over my shoulder at a distance. Tomorrow we will go and fix that, hope fully. Today was our Guild day and a very busy one. The editing has to wait until tomorrow.

Here is the address

To go to the second page, click on "modern" at the right hand top . The word modern, needs to be changedIt is one of the errors that need fixing. Enjoy and let me know what you think

Els! Terrific job, and I enjoyed every picture and detail. :o) I'm envious of your sheep-to-shawl experience ... and the completed shawls are just GORGEOUS!

I also love sheep and think that lambs are about the sweetest things on earth. Love the pics of them! Sooo cute. LOL

Eve :o)

Thank you Eve,

The sheep to shawl was a lot of fun. We all knew how to spin for many years, when we became the first group in Toronto to take the Masters spinners course, to learn the fine tuning of spinning. There was a lot of enthousiasm, involvement and zest for learning. When the contest was announced, most of us were going to try it on for size. One of the instructers in the course had (and still has today) a sheep farm. We all trooped over there to do some sheep shearing, as you can see in the pictures. These were the good days.

Glad you enjoyed the story

Hello, Els! Wow! Being a city child all of my life, I am clueless about many things. Thank you for sharing your photos and for the captions. I learned something new and wondrous (to me) today.
