Nice pitch for a commercial website, especially one that was registered only a few days ago. Enjoy all the spam, Louise.

Nice things. Thanks for sharing and good luck in your new endeavor. Do not be discouraged by the shrill screed and act of internet terrorism posted elsewhere by Wooly; several participants in this group have online selling efforts for their work and have posted their URLS within the group. You have done nothing wrong.

May I add that it is nice to see somebody trying to *work* to earn needed income and I do wish you well.

If you had a clue you'd know this is a spammer who hasn't posted a single thing to this group except for her spam. If the spammer had a clue she'd know we don't need to buy other people's work.

Back into your hole now, I see rain in the forecast. Then again, you'll probably melt but I don't want your shoes...

Thank you - this is all I asked for - some constructive criticism - i dont expect - or WANT to sell anything here - As to wooly remark that it was the only thing i posted - well it was my first - and last!

I didnt expect to get blasted just for asking for feedback!

Usenet netiquette: Introduce yourself. Post links to COMMERCIAL sites in the proper newsgroup, ie; in this case RCTMarketplace.

Your knitted items are very pretty (love the little lacey dresses), and your website is laid out nicely. However, I didn't see any prices on any of the items.

Too bad I can't knit or crochet very often anymore (I'm lucky to be able to do a couple of rows a week, if that, because of the pains in my hands and arms)... I used to sell things at craft shows in my area. The things I sold most were toys and slippers and they sold better at Christmas craft shows than the summer craft shows. Can't say I blame the customers... I prefer to walk around the house barefoot in the warmer months. ;o)

Since I haven't seen you post before, welcome to RCTY. :o)

I think you have done a very good job. Nice work! Personal I like the knitted work best. The idea with the crocheted cardigans is good, but I am a little afraid about small fingers and dc-"holes", if you understand what I mean. I would have used sc.stitches instead!

Good luck with your work, ...and now you also know where to post, if you want to sell: rec.crafts.textiles.marketplace

You have an interesting variety although I personally like simpler and more basic designs. Good luck with your work. I'm sorry you were subjected to the self-appointed newsgroup police.

Yes, indeed you are right. We are a great group, all of us, including the ones that are sometimes a little fast out of the starting blocks. We have know one and other for a long time through thick and thin. Come back and share your knitting knowledge and if you want to advertise go to the other group mentioned here before.

thanks for your comments. There is quite a difference between machine knit and hand knit - including the final product but again thats just a matter of opinion. I have machine knitted both at college and and home and the tutors in college all considered machine knit as another branch of handmade but NOT hand knit (guess thats why its called machine knit) so my verbage was worng! I should emphasize hand knitted rather than hand made!

Good catch!
