I have a question of my own, and I'm not going to say 'quick'. lol
Many years ago I made a pullover with what was very expensive mohair. It was done diagonally, in that you started horizontally, and finished vertically, with a line across diagonally where the increasing and decreasing took place. (I'll take a picture today and try to upload it.)
Unfortunately, this particular desing, and the heaviness of the wool, meant that very soon it pulled out of shape, and it also shed a HUGE amount. As a result I very seldom wore it. I think I've worn it about 5 times, 3 of which were in my own home as I didn't want it seen. I haven't thrown it out as it's a glorious rich shade of dark green, and I'm too stingy to throw out something that cost money (and time). (This may explain why every home has to be larger than the one before!)
So here comes the question: I thought of pulling it out and making something else, but as it has already been machine washed that is not likely to work, or should I wash it a few more times and 'felt' it, so I can cut it up and make something else? I have never done anything like that before, and forgive me if I used the wrong word.
