As long as you still have the same email address, ISP, etc, Google will also let you remove a message that did not have X No Archive on it. I don't remember exactly how and I hear it isn't easy to find, but it can be done. Best to do it right away, though, because you never know when you'll have to change ISPs or dump a spam-filled email address.

When it is the first line in a post, or in the headers, it asks google and other archive systems not to archive it.

However, it is only a *request*, and so should not be relied on to keep information private. One could write a program that only archived posts with the header set.
