Good Sunday Morning!

Sounds like you are also busy, instead of having a quiet day....LOL

I went for a walk with a friend into Mill Bay, about an hour today, because we made little side trips here and there. We walked down to the river, where there is a Salmon run. It is down into a steep canyon, and very pretty. To bad that kids had ripped out several steps. I have to not forget to repord that. Otto was kind enough to pick us up again. The hike back is all the way up hill, so we cheated and phoned in for a ride back....LOL

Hesira, great to hear that you also make your beans from scratch. So do I. Usually I cook up a large pot and freeze what we do not eat. I add some bay leaves when cooking the beans in my pressure cooker. We use the beans for all kinds of yummy dishes. Hope you have a nice warm day for your meal.

I used to have a friend who made corned beef from a Brisket, smoking it sounds great as well. We do, do a lot of cooking. Just reading through all your postings, I do not need to cook at all to day. If Otto just felt the same one, that would be great....LOL

I'm home. I did buy a couple things, but definitely less than I sold, so I'll call the day a success. I knit a couple inches on a sock and just relaxed most of the day - I just wish flea markets didn't start so doggone early in the day!

p.s. Katherine - I'm glad you're enjoying the slippers. Can't wait to see a picture. Yes, the pattern is a super-quick one. When my wool arrives, I should have a completed pair in a hurry.

I'm with you Jan - I also use the 2.25 mm needles. I have metal and bamboo. I find the bamboo nice & slippery, but they bend too much for my liking.

We did an assortment. We're Gonna Put On A Show Ave Maria Steam Heat A Celtic Blessing Luck, Be A Lady I'se the Bye The Water is Wide I'd Like to Build The World A Home

That was half of the programme, but enough to give you a taste of what we did, I think.

Higs, Katherine (I will post a picture of the choir when I post the slippers)

Definitely *not* solo! As part of a choir, I am pretty good, and my grandchildren love me to sing them to sleep. But that's as far as it goes.

That puts you way above me -- I still remember when one of my sons looked up at me from bed and said "Don't sing, Mom". No more lullabies for him. They got their musical genes from their father's side of the family. I actually am passable singing in the congregation but my DH is in the choir. He keeps saying he is getting too old but they seem never to have enough tenors who can read music and have a good ear. He is definately not a soloist - and probably never has sung in anything smaller than a quartet. ( I was basically a drummer - I don't have any problem with keeping the beat. ) Judy

LOL Maybe your children just don't like being sung to.

Ohh why is that? it is such a wonderful song. I think that I heard a well know folk singer sing it one time at a life concert, it sort of tugs at your heart strings....One voice, one guitar. It is just like Silent night, one voice one guitar. Good soul food

Noreen I am not so sure of that, Katherine is hiding her talent under a bushel basket. I think that she sings in a choir. Right Katherine. You have to have a nice voice to be there....No???? LOL

OK start singing girl, I will pick it up over here.

We need drummers as well Judy, it keeps the whole family on track...right...LOL

We watched a great program on Japanese drumming, Wow it was magnificent.

The reason is that I am much better as part of a choir rather than as a soloist!
